The Red Devils U14 team had a great game and came out with a 5-2 win. The 1st half was filled with many off-sides, and a shot by Bryce that went off the keeper to Igor for finish. Sam played great defense for the team and didn't let anyone behind him. Matt G. played great D again, and Jake was almost unstoppable in net other than the one goal by the Black Knights. Many more chances up front from Bryant, Justin and Darian gave the players the confidence to push even harder in the second half. The sweeper/stopper position was well manned by Justin, Gabe and Daniel Souza who had to fill in for John.

The second half had many more off-sides and 4 goals. Andrew DaCosta was an offensive threat that gave us many chances and a great breakaway that was almost put into the net. A penalty kick that was drawn by George after being sandwiched between defenders, and another after a hand ball that Igor put into the back of the net. Michael and Matt G. both had shutouts in net. Bryce scored his first goals of the season, and Bryant netted another one off a great ball off a corner kick from Igor. Next game is at 1 in Shrewsbury while the Red Devils try to improve to 3-0.

THE RED DEVS U10 SQUAD

The U10 Red Devils continued their strong play against the club team Nucleos with a 7-2 victory witnessed by a raucous crowd at Merchant field.  There were plenty of goals and assists are still pouring in as this goes to print.  Ryan tallied another goal for the Devs, as did Jackson T, Damain, Jared with a pair, Jonny S and Rob C lashed one into the top sock drawer with the power of a million pound striker.  Tor and Nathan provided great runs up front, Calvin was solid in net and Ethan had the play of the day with a weak side run from left D into the box followed by a one timed volley that was just wide of far post.  Nathan N also had a fantastic cross after emerging battered not beaten from a strategic Nucleos scrum in the corner.  Aidan and  Nathan Wong continue to be the best middlemen in the game, tackling and then leading the attack from the back.  Nathan shot one off the high bar and Aidan also hammered a ball just wide of the near low post.  Evan S made his debut in MASC and was a worthy right back standing up his man on every tackle challenge.  Next up the Red Devs take to the road in New Bedford.
